Sony may not have shared what the exactly the PlayStation 5 will look like, and this may disappoint a few fans, but then, on the upside, the image that it has shared shows a great deviation in controller design. The DualSense looks very different from controllers of other PlayStation consoles. Not only does the DualSense look different from other controllers, it has some key changes in terms of functions too. The new controller comes with haptic feedback, instead of rumble technology that was there in predecessors. The company has also added ‘adaptive triggers’ to the controller and as the name suggests, these can be used to regulate the resistance of of the triggers to suit various kinds of gameplay effects.

PlayStation 5‘s controller will sport a two-tone colour scheme and it has completely been revamped in terms of the design. The image shared by Sony revealed that the shape of the grips as well as the face buttons of DualSense controller will be more rounded. In addition to this, the share button on the controller will now be called as the ‘Create’ button, and according to Sony, it will come with “new ways for players to create epic gameplay content to share with the world.” These were the key details that have been announced by the company so far. However, Sony has mentioned that it will be announcing other details closer to the launch of PlayStation 5. But before we sign off, we should mention some other changes that have been included in the upcoming PlayStation controller. There are some subtle customizations that can be noticed on the DualSense controller. For instance, the PlayStation button on the new controller will actually be in the shape of PS logo. The design of the triggers is also different from previous controllers. Some of the things are actually the same as earlier. These include the touchpad in the center of the controller, the light bar, the symmetrical layout, among others.
