The Redmi 7 is the official successor of the Redmi 6 and according to Xiaomi, the Redmi 7 is an ‘ultimate all-rounder’. The Redmi 7 holds a price tag of Rs 7,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant while the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant of the device costs Rs 8,999. It comes with three colour variants to choose from – Eclipse Black, Comet Blue, and Lunar Red. The customers of the Redmi 7 will also get benefits from Reliance Jio including double data benefits for up to four years and Rs 2,400 cashback.

The Redmi 7 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 19:9 with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC paired with 2GB and 3GB of RAM. The Redmi 7 comes with 32GB storage with support of microSD card of up to 512GB. The newly launched smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery that comes without support for fast charging. On the camera front, the Redmi 7 features a dual-rear camera setup which comprises of a 12MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 1.25-micron pixels paired with 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP front facing camera that can be used for selfies and video calls.
The Redmi 7 comes with dual-SIM support, 4G LTE and has a Micro-USB 2.0 port. It also features P2i splash-resistant coating which makes it capable of handling occasional splash. But it should be noted that it is not water resistant so it could still get damaged from prolonged contact with water.
